      Kedarnath & Vasuki Taal

🌄 Trekking to Vasuki Tal – The Hidden Gem of Kedarnath

Discover the untouched beauty of the Himalayas with our exclusive Vasuki Tal Trek — a breathtaking high-altitude adventure that begins from the sacred town of Kedarnath. Situated at an elevation of 4,135 meters (13,566 feet), Vasuki Tal is a pristine glacial lake surrounded by towering peaks and deep spiritual energy. This is not just a trek — it’s a journey to the heart of nature and divinity.

Your journey starts from Kedarnath Dham, one of India’s most revered pilgrimage destinations dedicated to Lord Shiva. From here, the trail winds through majestic valleys, rocky ascents, and alpine meadows blooming with Himalayan flowers. As you climb higher, the views open up to the mighty Chaukhamba and Mandani peaks, creating a scene straight out of a dream.

Each step brings you closer to Vasuki Tal, the mythical lake believed to be the bathing place of Lord Vishnu. Legends say that the serpent Vasuki, used during the Samudra Manthan, rests here — adding a divine charm to this mystical destination.

      Nag Taal

Nag Tal can be reached from Phata in the Rudraprayag district, via Jammu Village. The trek from Jammu Village to Nag Tal covers about 3.5 kilometers and offers a beautiful yet narrow mountain trail. Situated at an impressive altitude of 9,915 feet, this serene lake is a hidden gem of the Himalayas.

Nestled in the lap of nature, Nag Tal is surrounded by dense forests on all sides, creating an enchanting atmosphere of peace and mystery. The lake is known for its great depth and its dark, mirror-like surface that appears black from a distance — yet its water is crystal clear, pristine, and believed to have medicinal properties.

Throughout the trek, travelers encounter sparkling streams, natural pools, and lush bugyals (meadows) that enhance the journey’s charm. The untouched landscape and tranquil environment make Nag Tal feel like a paradise hidden away in the mountains, offering an unforgettable experience for trekkers and nature lovers alike.

      Panwali Kantha Bugyal

Panwali Kantha is one of the most magnificent and expansive alpine meadows in the Garhwal Himalayas, celebrated for its vibrant variety of flowering herbs, rich wildlife, and breathtaking panoramic views of the surrounding peaks.

Perched at an elevation of about 10,827 feet, this pristine meadow lies gracefully between the Mandakini and Bhilangana river valleys, forming a natural link between the Tehri and Rudraprayag districts of Uttarakhand. Its vast green expanse, framed by the towering Himalayan ranges, offers an unforgettable experience of raw mountain beauty and serene wilderness.

      Gangi Gaon

Gangi Gaon, nestled in the Ghansali Tehsil of Tehri Garhwal district, Uttarakhand, is one of the most beautiful and serene villages of the Garhwal Himalayas. Situated at an impressive altitude of around 9,000 feet, this hidden gem is surrounded by dense forests, snow-clad peaks, and rolling alpine meadows that add a magical charm to its landscape.

According to the 2011 Census of India, Gangi holds the village code 042828 and also functions as a Gram Panchayat, giving it administrative importance in the region. The village lies approximately 50 kilometers from Ghansali, the sub-district headquarters, and about 111 kilometers from New Tehri, the district headquarters.

Gangi Gaon captivates visitors with its untouched beauty, traditional wooden houses, and the peaceful rhythm of Himalayan life. The crisp mountain air, the sound of nearby streams, and the panoramic views of snow-dusted ridges create an atmosphere of pure tranquility. Rich in local traditions and spiritual heritage, this village offers travelers an authentic experience of mountain living — simple, soulful, and close to nature.

For trekkers, explorers, and peace-seekers alike, Gangi Gaon stands as a heavenly retreat in the heart of Uttarakhand’s high-altitude wilderness.
