PJ Duplex – A Luxury Stay in Kedarnath

At PJ Duplex, we take great pride in providing a unique Kedarnath luxury stay experience amidst the sacred Himalayas. Each booking at our PJ Duplex accommodation involves extensive preparation, resource allocation, and advance arrangements due to the remoteness and high-altitude terrain of our property.

Please read the following Cancellation & Refund Policy carefully before confirming your booking.

1. No-Refund Policy

All bookings made at PJ Duplex (Kedarnath) are non-refundable and non-transferable.

Once a reservation is confirmed and payment is received (in part or in full), no refund will be issued under any circumstances, including cancellation, no-show, delayed arrival, or early departure.

2. Reason for No Refund Policy

Operating in a mountainous, high-altitude region like Kedarnath requires advance logistical planning and substantial upfront costs.

Once a guest books a stay or event, the hotel immediately commits resources such as accommodation blocking, staff allocation, food arrangements, local transportation, and event setup.

Due to the remote nature of the area, finding replacement guests or reselling cancelled bookings is extremely difficult, especially during peak pilgrimage or winter seasons.

Many arrangements and supplies are made well in advance, and funds are utilized immediately for those preparations.

Hence, we maintain a strict “no cancellation and no refund” policy to ensure operational sustainability in this challenging environment.

3. Date Changes or Postponement

While refunds are not available, guests may request a date change or postponement of their booking, subject to management approval and availability.

Such requests must be made at least 15 days before the original check-in or event date.

A rescheduling fee may apply depending on seasonal rates, occupancy, and preparation already undertaken.

In case of rescheduling, the booking value may be adjusted as a credit valid for up to 6 months, depending on the situation and approval by the management.

4. No-Show and Early Check-Out

Guests failing to check in on the scheduled date (without prior intimation) will be considered a no-show, and the entire booking amount will be forfeited.

Early check-out due to personal reasons, health issues, or change in travel plans will not be eligible for any refund or credit.

5. Force Majeure (Unavoidable Circumstances)

In case of unexpected natural or external disruptions — such as landslides, floods, road closures, heavy snowfall, government restrictions, or any force majeure event —

The management may, at its sole discretion, offer to reschedule the booking to a later date.

No cash refund will be provided under any such circumstances.

Guests are encouraged to maintain personal travel insurance for emergency cancellations, travel delays, or weather-related risks.

6. Group or Event Bookings

For wedding destination package events, group stays, or long-duration bookings, please note:

Once the booking and advance are confirmed, no amount is refundable, as immediate procurement, staffing, and decoration expenses are initiated.

In special cases (e.g., postponement due to unavoidable events), rescheduling may be offered based on future availability and managerial approval.

7. Booking Confirmation

A booking is considered confirmed only after receipt of the advance payment and written confirmation from PJ Duplex via email or official message.

By confirming a booking, guests acknowledge that they have read and understood this No Refund Policy and agree to its terms in full.
